I’m Rachel Herwick, DVM, an Emergency and Critical Care veterinarian and the founder of CARES Veterinary.

As an emergency veterinarian, I’m accustomed to navigating complex medical situations with precision, calm, and attention to detail. Outside of the hospital, I’ve developed another passion: traveling extensively with my own dog and helping make international travel with pets feel less complicated and more accessible.

I believe pets shouldn’t have to stay home simply because international travel feels overwhelming. With the right preparation, veterinary guidance, and planning, traveling with your pet can be a seamless part of your adventure.

I offer comprehensive support for international pet travel, including health examinations, laboratory testing, international health certificates, travel documentation, and personalized guidance throughout the preparation process.
